Beyond the fit:
The style Playbook

Half Court is a lifestyle magazine inspired by the fashion in the NBA with the point of view. of the players through the season. Half Court is made to highlight the different styles worn by other players and the story behind them. Half Court features articles on outfits, jewelry, and more. I chose a landscape layout to match the negative space, the typography, and the imagery. Each composition explores structure and chaos with a strong grid and strategic breaking points.

Collage to Layout: Building Half Court's Visual Identity

I created a mixed collage using my photography and sports magazine clippings, which became the foundation for Half Court's design. This process shaped the magazine’s layout, balancing structure and spontaneity while guiding my use of negative space, typography, and imagery to reflect NBA fashion’s energy.
